I remember seeing this trailer with my brother while we were watching Toonami on a Saturday night. Went out and bought the game with my family a few days later. One of the best gaming experiences of my life.

Just came here in 2021 to wake the dead.

That is the trailer I watched on the TV at lunch that literally made me drop my fork when I saw it, I knew I wanted this game in my life, I was going to have the age to play it, all the right condition just came up perfectly for it and I never knew that it will be the best decision of my life, because thanks to this trailer and this game the Dragon Quest franchise would become my favorite franchise, why French peoples like me had to wait for the eighth entrance to the series to know about it? T_T At least we dodge Dragon Quest VII, now it would be nice for the series to not be screwed by his more know cousin JRPG in the west, why the west like Final Fantasy much more than Dragon Quest while he has pretty much to thank Dragon Quest for everything for his sucess? Dragon Quest is not the grandfather of JRPG for nothing, at least now thanks to Final Fantasy 13 being bad, Final Fantasy being a MMORPG in a era where MMORPG are pretty much dead and Final Fantasy 15 being bad too Dragon Quest got this game, the very famously know Dragon Quest 9 for his multiplayer and the inventor of the Streetpass system, a down slope on Dragon Quest 10 being a MMORPG but going back really strong with Dragon Quest 11 and finally has its recognition in Super Smash Bros Ultimate along with Dragon Quest 12 on the work for the horizon of 2022-23 the future of the series looks really bright finally after all these years in the shadows behind Final Fantasy, I guess you could say Dragon Quest was the Luigi and Final Fantasy the Mario, but unlike the normal Luigi it crept up from the shadows of his brother that his brother has to thank to being here and take its rightful place in the spotlights for the west.

I’m sitting here playing FF7 remake and it’s just nuts how good the game looks. We never could have imagined it. It makes this tech demo look ancient. But I remember being blown away by this in 2005. Which I guess makes sense because 2005 was only 8 years after FF7 came out, and remake came out 15 years after this tech demo
